In a recent study ‘DANGER Signals Activate G-Protein Receptor Kinases Suppressing Neutrophil Function and Predisposing to Infection After Tissue Trauma’ published in the ANNALS of SURGERY journal, novel approaches to reversing injury-induced immune dysfunction were investigated. In this study, the CURIOSIS Celloger® Mini Plus was utilised to assess the immune function of neutrophils in trauma situations. Mouse PMNs were treated with green bioparticles followed by induction of trauma with mitochondrial DNA treatment, and phagocytosis assays were conducted.
