OHAUS Extreme Environment Shakers are engineered for applications that require CO2 and humidity to ensure optimal cell growth, such as for use in cold rooms and incubators that require -10 °C to 60 °C CO2 environments and up to 100% humidity. The remote controller magnetically attaches to the outside of most incubators or conveniently rests on the laboratory bench. The shaker base is placed inside the incubator and connects to the touchpad controller via a 1.68m cable, providing easy external control of speed & time settings. The independent LED displays for speed and time allow the operator to view both settings simultaneously.

The detachable 3-wire cord and plug are included, and the RS232 interface provides two-way communication for datalogging and unit control. The construction features cold rolled steel (CRS) and stainless steel, external control module and a thin ribbon cable (1.68m) that easily passes underneath an incubator door or through its utility port, while the design includes a built-in tray (28cm x 33cm) with a non-slip rubber mat. Additionally, this shaker is equipped with an IP65-rated motor for enhanced durability.
